Place sugar and fruit in a saucepan with enough water to cover it by 2 inches
Stir continuously and bring to the boil until it becomes like jelly
Put a plate in the freezer,when you think the marmalade has set test it by putting a few spoonfuls on the cold plate.Tip it to see if it runs.If it holds its done
You can then can it in a water bath for 30 minutes.
I have tasted Sue's marmalade and it is scrummy !
